LEAVE ROADS, PASS PATHS
Meander through winding chaparral trails, taking in the aromatic sages and vibrant vistas of the Pacific Ocean. Our trails connect several campgrounds, meditation spots, yurts, and more. Learn about native plants, explore different modalities of healing, and grow through the wisdom of mother earth.
Guided Hike
Interested in learning about the local chaparral ecosystem? We’ll take you on a walk through our trail system, identifying local plants and animals. Depending on the day we might bring a goat, sheep, or dog to join us.

Gaia Campground
Looking for a unique and memorable experience on the Gaviota Coast? Our campsites provide a special camping experience for the whole family.
The sites feature uninterrupted views of the coast, native chaparral hiking trails, and of course access to our farm. We invite you to visit with the animals, hike our trails, and enjoy the natural beauty of our incredible land. Sites are primitive camping on gravel pads along our hiking trails. Approximately a five minute hike from parking. Water and composting toilets provided.
Yurts & Bell Tents
Be close to nature and enjoy the comforts of a luxury glamping experience with a yurt or bell tent stay. Our 20′ yurt offers year-round availability and can sleep 4. Our 13′ and 16′ canvas bell tents are seasonal but pack a lot of charm into a small space! All off-grid, you can

disconnect from the world and enjoy the peace and quiet of our beautiful land. Water, solar lights, and compost toilet provided.

Earth Building
Earthen building, which uses raw earth as a primary construction material, is one of the oldest styles of architecture, boasting advantages like low environmental impact, excellent thermal mass, natural insulation, good indoor air quality, and resistance to fire and insects.
Nader Khalili of Cal Earth Institute proposed the building philosophy we follow here, though we still have much to learn!
Our Superadobe earth dome is still under construction. If you’d like to contribute to this project, we need volunteers!

How to support our trails
There are many ways to support our trails and rentals – volunteering, spreading the word, coming for a stay, donating, and more!
